Glimpses of the Week

The Lord has continued to overwhelm our lives this past week with blessings in abundance!

A few days after finding out that our little baby was a little princess, I (Cassie) flew up to Carbondale to spend a wonderful weekend with my family! I was reminded again and again how much of a blessing and joy it is to have a family that delights in the company of one another! We had a marvelous time together watching the World Cup, playing games, seeing fireworks, recording music together, and relaxing. Sadly, Caleb needed to stay in Tallahassee for this trip in order to keep on top of his pressing summer schedule, so missing him was a big part of the weekend trip as well! It is wonderful to be back in town again, back in his arms, and back into our schedule here. Thank you, family, for a delightful weekend!!!

Little Jane Victoria is continuing to grow and practice her soccer moves daily. She seems to have an affinity for air travel, kicking and moving around quite vigorously when I was making the trip to and from IL. We hope this means that she loves traveling, as going to and from Peru will surely require some of that! Each day brings a new joy, a new delight in this tiny little baby that our Lord is so masterfully knitting together inside of me.

Caleb has been diligently keeping up with his classes, teaching, and tutoring. This summer semester has been a true test of endurance, perseverance, and the ability to drink pots of coffee. Caleb has proven himself stellar on all three accounts. He is a daily example of diligence, drive, unselfishness, and cheerfulness. What a man. The end of this week will mark off 1/3 of the semester!

We have continued to receive support for our Peru work as the summer progresses, and thank each and every one of you who has blessed us through financial and prayer support. Thank you! May the Lord bless your coming week!
